Tuberose oil is extracted from the Polianthes Tuberosa flower which is cultivated in parts of Morocco, Egypt, India and France extensively through the enfleurage process. The flowers are blended with fats then essential oil is extracted through distillation with steam. The Tuberose oil contains methyl benzoate, benzyl alcohol, farcenol, eugenol and methyl anthranilate. It is a slightly sticky oil which is orange in color with traces of yellowish tinge. The aroma is highly intoxicating and overpowering.
Aphrodisiac: Justifying its romantic and sensual names that include “Night Queen” and “Mistress of the Night”, this oil behaves as an aphrodisiac. It is commonly used as an aphrodisiac both in aromatherapy as well as in herbal medicines. The very strong, intense, and intoxicating floral fragrance made with the Essential Oil of Tuberose fills the atmosphere with romance and builds an atmosphere of love. This oil is found to be very effective in treating frigidity and a lack of libido. Certain components of this essential oil stimulate those parts of the brain that are responsible for arousal, sexual feelings, and libido, both when used in aromatherapy or taken orally (there are very rare examples of oral administration of this oil, since the aroma is very strong).
