Helichrysum italicum is sometimes called the curry plant because of the strong odor of its leaves. Helichrysum italicum grows on dry ground, rocky or sandy around the Mediterranean.
The stems are woody at the base and up to 60 cm or more in height. Clusters of yellow flowers are produced in summer and retain their color after picking.
